to poet
is to turn the heart into a fish bowl
as the reader stares blankly into the depths
of the aquarium watching shadows play
with light the whispers of ghosts
emerging are only moon flower colored jellyfish
haunting the most often pitch black waters
with silver star flakes of fish food
falling like slow motion raindrops
underwater nothing to be afraid of
unless one reaches out through the glass
and touches you
