Opus 5.0
diary of a programmer 124
today I had to remind claude to match the model to the task
it’s a strange thing to have to think about and I wish
I could just delegate different models in my life to different tasks
like washing the dishes or playing the fiddle or writing this poem
but tbh I wouldn’t even know which model to assign
to writing such a poem as this and there is probably not
such a clear distinction between the models I actually use in my life
but when I consider going back to writing The Enlightenment Police
I can see use cases for using both Opus and Fable and Sonnet
and come to think of it why the hell are the models all named
so literarily anyway it’s just too fitting for an alleged writer
claude is toiling away with his agents in the background
as I sit here in the fucking chair wondering at what toots is up to
in Budapest so far away from Berlin with all these compartments
I don’t even know about which is exactly like claude spawning
different sandboxes with different agents
for different relationships in this generally open one and pumping them
for work and I wonder if claude even derives any amount of pleasure
from the power in managing them or in the power of delegation
or in the power of suddenly finding all this free time while the slaves
are slaving away reading Moby Dick like the bloody swabs on the deck
swabbing at the blood of the dead whale awash in the wood
at night when the after dinner fiddling is done
there is something to be said for appreciating the quiet hours
when claude and the agents are sleeping and there is silence in the air
and there is an absence of notifications to which my mind
must subscribe like a biological cronjob
